Fellow butches, queers, femmes, studs, bois, transmen, transwomen aggressives, genderqueers, lesbians, gays, andros, tombois, genderfluids, machas and all other identities present!

I’m guessing you may have expressed interest in my page because you noticed there is a pretty big void of fitness programs geared solely to the queer community. My name is Pat and it’s my job to fill that void.

I jumped into the world of fitness as a self-conscious 17 year old who just didn’t like what they looked like in the mirror. Ten years later, I look at the person I see in my reflection and see an accurate depiction of my masculine identity. Molding my outer image greatly coincided with my coming to terms with my own gender identity.

I constantly hear other people ask me for help with crafting a more masculine physique. When I ask why don’t they implement a training plan, the same objections come up:

“I don’t know what I’m doing and I don’t feel comfortable with personal trainers”

“I feel uncomfortable in the gym, the environment feels hostile”

“Um, the locker room?!”

There lies the real problem. Most trainers don’t understand how you want your body to look or how stressful it can be stepping up to the weight rack in a crowded gym. It never even crosses their mind how terrifying a locker room can be. I know exactly where you are coming from!

This site is to not only share my knowledge but to take a stand. Our bodies are not defined by society, but by our OWN identity. This is a site for queer people by queer people.

I can’t start a revolution on my own though. I need your help. Let’s take a stand together!

Spread the word and let others know about buffbutch.com! I’ll be keeping you all up to date as this project progresses.

Your Brother in Arms,

Pat
